What’s been happening:

It's been a long and winding road to full professor in mass communications and chair of the faculty senate at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. My passion for media and communications and writing and photography and Mac computers and space and astronomy have driven me and still do -- 72 books published and multiple websites -- and now into the New Media of the Internet -- blogs, wikis, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, Facebook, MySpace, Space Today Online. If you search you will find me living and teaching in two worlds, the real life we know and love and a virtual place called Second Life. My spouse and best friend, Dr. Judy Curtis, Penn State '74, teaches journalism with me at UNC-Pembroke.
